Kept does not collect anything about you. Not your name, not your email, not what you save, not how you use the app. There is no account to create and no server to send anything to.

Where your things are kept

Everything you save — the text, the pictures, the videos, your notes, your tags, your collections — is stored on your device only. It is never uploaded. The developer cannot see it, cannot recover it, and has no way to reach it.

If you delete the app, that data goes with it. There is no copy anywhere else.

The one time Kept uses the network

When you save a link, Kept tries to fetch the original text and picture so you keep a readable snapshot. To do that, your device asks that website directly — the same request your browser would make if you opened the link yourself.

That request goes to the site you saved, not to us. Nothing passes through a server we run, because we do not run one. Those sites may keep their own server logs, exactly as they would if you visited them normally.

If the fetch fails, Kept keeps the link and the text you shared and moves on.

What Kept does not do

• No accounts, sign-ups or logins
• No analytics, tracking or advertising identifiers
• No crash reporting
• No third-party SDKs that collect data
• No cloud sync or backup
• No selling or sharing of anything, because there is nothing held to sell or share

Topics

Kept files what you save under topics. That is worked out on your device by looking at the words in the text. Nothing is sent anywhere to do it, and you can change any topic by hand.

Photos and videos

A photo or video you share into Kept is copied into Kept's own storage on the device. Kept does not read your photo library and does not ask for access to it.

Children

Kept is rated 4+ and has no social features, no user-to-user content and no advertising. Since no data is collected from anyone, none is collected from children.

Changes to this policy

If a future version of Kept ever sends anything off the device, this page will say so before that version ships, the App Store privacy label will be updated to match, and the feature will be something you switch on yourself.
